This month the LSU AgCenter is spearheading “Smart Choices” classes, which is a community nutrition education program that is free to the public.
The “Smart Choices” program is a six-week nutrition education course designed to assist limited resource families with children and youth, or adults providing for the elderly, to acquire knowledge and skills for healthier eating habits. Held every Monday for the next four weeks at the Council on Aging, on South State, each class will include a nutrition lesson, food demonstrations and taste testing.
