Pearly Marie Pete
Pearly Marie Pete was born Oct. 2, 1940, in Iota to the late Gabriel Lacour Sr. and Louella Jordan. She was a resident of the Jennings/Lake Charles area most of her life. She was the most giving person and loved helping others.
Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Jennings. Father Celsius Offor will officiate. Burial will be in Thornwell Cemetery under the direction of James Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 8 a.m. in the church.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Eldrina Marie (Roderick) Judwin and Maureen Pete (Clarence) Hardy, both of Lake Charles; two sons, Randal (Lisa) Pete of Beech Island, S.C., and Marques “Mark” (Jackie) Pete of Lake Charles; three sisters, Rayella Stoneham of Houston, Texas, Mildred (Rodney) Smith and Pamela Lacour, both of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Gabriel Lacour Jr. of Detroit, Mich., Perkin “Burton” (Odessa) Lacour of Houston, Texas, and Sylvester Lacour of Oklahoma City, Okla.; nine grandchildren, Maques Pete, Sherrah Chester, Malon Sinegal, Sheena Willliams, Trey, Chad, and Craig Hardy, Marques Pete II and Randal Pete II; four great-grandchildren, Elyiah, Jasmynne, Maykalah, and Ma’Lone; her former mother-in-law, Lorena Pete of Jennings; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Anna Davis.
