The Jeff Davis Police Jury approved two resolutions Wednesday concerning road construction in the Lacassine area, potentially costing the parish $90,000.

The first resolution voted Aucoin and Associates, Inc. to draft the application for the Louisiana Community Development Block Grant (LCDBG). If the application is awarded by the state, the second resolution agreed to pay $90,000 for engineering and administrative fees, if the state covered the additional costs for construction, estimated at $400,000. The total estimated cost for the roadwork project is just above $490,000.
