The Jennings Bulldogs opened district play Friday night in Jerry Simmons Stadium with hopes of evening their season record at 3-3, as well as kicking off district play with a win. The Dogs found the perfect recipe for the victory: they won the turnover battle four to 2 and capitalize on those big plays to propel them to the 30-14 victory.

“We won the turnover battle and that was big. When you win the turnover battle and hold on to the football, that gives you opportunities and that’s extra possessions,” Bulldog Head Coach Rusty Phelps said. “We were able to capitalize and put points on the board.”
