Family carrying on after devastating house fire

August 20 of this year is a day Bobby and Barbara Hoffpauir of Roanoke and their children will never forget.

Barbara was teaching her students at Jennings Elementary when the assistant principal walked into the classroom and said, “You need to get your purse and come with me.”

Barbara didn’t know what to think. Her husband, Bobby, was at work. Their son, Glardon, 18, was working on a farm and daughter Kansas, 16, was at school.
