The National Guard Armory in Jennings will be returned to the city for local use on Nov. 1, a move that will expand training opportunities for area law enforcement.

Jennings Mayor Terry Duhon said the city and National Guard had an agreement over the past 40 years that allowed the latter party to utilize the Cary Avenue building. The agreement stated that once the Guard no longer had use for the building, it would be turned back over to the city.
