Sheriff’s Office

Five people were booked into the Jeff Davis Sheriff’s Office over the past week.

 

Wednesday, October 23

Zackery James Chaisson was charged with careless operation, unlicensed driver, felony possession of a firearm, running a stop sign, resisting an officer, possession of marijuana and contempt of court. Bond was denied.

 

Michael Alexander was charged with felony possession of a firearm. Bond was denied.

 

Whitney Dawn Stutes was arrested on two warrants and charged with theft of a motor vehicle. Bond was denied.

 

Thursday, October 24

Cheryl Ann Moses was charged with failure to maintain control of a vehicle, possession of a Schedule II narcotic and distribution of a Schedule IV narcotic. Bond was set at $40,000.

 

Charles Joseph Teele, Jr. was charged with second degree battery. Bond was set at $40,000.

 

City Police

Twelve people were arrested by the Jennings Police Department over the past week.

 

Saturday, October 19

Claude Junius McDowell, Jr., 32, of G.C. Chaney Street in Jennings, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II narcotic, transactions involving drug proceeds and illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor.

 

Dandre Martinez Gray, 19, of Seagraves Street in Jennings, was arrested on a warrant.

 

Joseph H. Thibodeaux, 50, of South Jackson Avenue in Morse, was charged with theft and criminal trespassing.

 

Sunday, October 20

Dawayne Aldon Hariss, 29, of La. 3235 in Galliano, was charged with theft of goods.

 

Elbert Wayne Barr III, 51, of West South Street in Jennings, was arrested on a warrant.

 

Wednesday, October 23

Shelley Marchetta Lege, 40, of Garrett Lane in Jennings, was charged with domestic abuse battery.

 

Mickey Joseph Lege, 46, of Garrett Lane in Jennings, was charged with domestic abuse battery.

 

Russell Kirk Sylestine, 28, of First Street in Elton, was arrested on a warrant.

 

James Ray Savoie, Jr., 38, of Sheridan Street in Jennings, was charged with domestic abuse battery.

 

Thursday, October 24

Nolan Floyd Obey, 52, of Garage Alley in Jennings, was charged with remaining after forbidden and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Luke Sherman Freeman, 32, of East Spencer Street in Jennings, was charged with resisting arrest by flight and resisting arrested by refusing to identify himself. Subject was issued a summons.

 

Friday, October 25

Shannon Davis, 40, of East Madison Street in Jennings, was charged with simple battery. Subject was issued a summons.
