LONGVIEW – The Jennings Bulldogs hit the road Friday looking to extend their winning streak to three and up their district mark to 2-0. The Bulldogs and their hosts, the South Beauregard Golden Knights, battled for 47 minutes before a winner could be named. Jennings’ Malik Williams returned a Golden Knight pass 64 yards to seal the deal for the Dogs with just 39 ticks left on the clock. After Seth Cox kicked the extra point, the Dogs had their final margin of victory at 34-20.

“Any time in this district when you go on the road, it’s difficult to win,” said lead Dog Rusty Phelps. “We played a really good football team. They are really physical and are very well-coached, so I’m proud of this football team and I’m glad to get out of here with a victory. We are 4-3 and 2-0 in district and we get to play at home next week.”
