CADA seeks locals to Adopt a Family

By SHEILA SMITH

Communities Against Domestic Abuse (CADA) is hoping locals make a difference in the lives of abused women and children by adopting a family for Christmas.

CADA provides a safe house and outside resources for domestic violence victims, many who must leave behind their homes and belongings in the pursuit of shelter. With that being said, Christmas is usually a particularly hard time for those families, especially women with children.

So CADA’s Adopt a Family program allows community members or groups to sponsor a family that has received services through the agency within the past year.
