The Jennings Bulldogs opened the first round of the playoffs in Jerry Simmons Stadium Friday night, entertaining the Giants of Jena. Jena scored the first points of the game and the last points of the night, but the Bulldogs dominated everything in between. Jennings scored 37 unanswered points after Jena grabbed an early 6-0 lead to claim a 37-14 win.

“We had to make some adjustments after their first drive. I was real proud of the kids, the way we came back after that,” Head Dog Rusty Phelps said. “Defensively, after we made the adjustments, I thought we controlled the line of scrimmage and we ran to the football pretty good. We threw the football extremely well. I thought our protection was good.”
