A local group of ladies are using their time and talents to not only serve those in need, but God, as well.

Each Wednesday and Thursday, the Dorcas Group, named after a woman in the Bible (Acts 9:36) who sewed for the less fortunate, meet at the Church of Christ on Cutting Avenue in Jennings to quilt and sew. It’s work they have been undertaking since 1992, according to member Joyce Broyles.
