WELSH-When the Welsh Greyhounds take the field Friday night for the bi-district round of the class 2-A state playoffs, they will face a familiar foe. The Greyhounds finished fourth in the power points among 2-A teams and earned the right to host a first round playoff game. The opponent will be the Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers, who finished ranked at number 29. Welsh has faced the Tigers twice before and came away empty-handed both times, including a state finals battle.

The Hounds will enter the winner-take-all battle with an overall 8-2 record, while the Tigers finished at 3-7.
