Jeff Davis Parish’s (JDP) public school students will soon have the opportunity to receive free flu vaccinations on campus.

Superintendent of Schools Brian LeJeune said the district accepted an offer from the State Immunization Program and Calcasieu Medical Reserve Corps to immunize participating students with FluMist. That particular flu vaccine is a mist that is sprayed into the nose. LeJeune said no students would receive injections.
