Local club looks for new ways to give to community

Kindergartners at three local elementary schools will each receive a special gift for their birthdays this year thanks to 44 members of an active club in this area.

For the second consecutive year, the Volunteers for Family and Community (VFC) Homesteaders Club is presenting a brand new book to each kindergartner at Hathaway and Our Lady Immaculate (OLI) schools, while the local Trailblazers branch of the VFC club is presenting books to Elton Elementary School kindergartners through the same project.  Last year, the Trailblazers presented books to kindergartners at Fenton and Lacassine schools.
