It is with great sadness that the family of Quinton “Nick” Stutes announces his passing from this life on Nov. 13, 2013, at the age of 58.
Funeral services to honor Nick’s life will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating. Burial will follow in Andrus Cove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of his funeral services.
Known to his family and friends as “Nick”, he was born in Jennings to Lee Roy Stutes and Verlia Mayes Stutes on Sept. 20, 1955. He was a sheet metal worker. Nick enjoyed working in his yard, plants, woodwork and going fishing.
Nick is survived by his son, Heath Stutes of Jennings; one brother, Wayland (Paula) Stutes of Jennings; a sister, Markeitha (Jay) Parro of Wyoming; and one grandchild, Blakelyn Stutes of Jennings.
Nick was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy and Verlia M. Stutes; his great-grandparents, Claude and Julia Broussard; and a nephew, Keith Labaki.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Dupont, Seth Chaisson, Brydoc Abshire, Justin O’Blanc, David Pollock and Wayland Stutes. Honorary pallbearers will be Blakelyn Stutes, Jesse Guinn and Jaylond Labaki.
