Welsh audit shows $330k deficit

WELSH – An audit of the finances here showed a $330,000 deficit, marking the third consecutive year of falling revenues in the town.
That report came from Jason Guillory, an accountant with McElroy, Quirk and Burch, Tuesday evening. He said the general fund revenues have seen an increasing deficit over the past three years. In 2011, the general fund deficit stood at $40,000, then increased to $120,000 in 2012. For the fiscal year ending May 31 of this year, the deficit was at $330,000.
