WELSH – The Welsh Greyhounds had their six-game winning streak broken last week in a thrilling double-overtime loss to Kinder, but there is no looking back by the Greyhounds. Welsh, now 7-2 overall and 3-1 in league play, will host the DeQuincy Tigers this week as they celebrate Homecoming.
“Last week’s game was a classic for high school football,” noted Welsh Head Coach John Richardson. “We gave an absolutely great effort in that game. Somebody had to lose and Kinder made one play more than we did. But we gave every ounce of effort we had to get the win. The kids are bouncing back very well this week. We improved even though we lost, and we are building on that. Our confidence had not diminished.”
