LIVONIA – The Jennings Bulldogs needed a miracle in the last 30 seconds for a chance to the make the Class 3A Championship. But four straight incompletions from the 30-yard line in the final 30 seconds ended the season as the Livonia Wildcats held on for a 25-20 victory to advance to the Class 3A State Championship in New Orleans.

The Bulldogs took over possession of offense with 2:16 to play in the game from their own 10-yard line. The drive looked to have stalled but a pass interference call by the Wildcats gave the Bulldogs life with 37 seconds left in the game. Malik Williams then was on the receiving end of a 25-yard pass from Kaleb Chaisson to get the ball on the 30-yard line. The Bulldogs tried for the win but came up short at the end.
