Dogs, ladies drop close contests

The Jennings Lady Bulldogs faced the Barbe Lady Bucs Friday, with the visiting Lady Bucs pulling past the Lady Bulldogs, 55-40. With the loss, the Lady Bulldogs’ record fell to 4-10. The next game for the Lady Bulldogs is at the Midland Christmas Tournament, which starts on Dec. 26 against Holden at 11 a.m.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs traveled to New Iberia and faced the Catholic High Panthers. The Panthers squeaked out a 50-49 win over the Bulldogs. The Bulldog’ record stands at 6-6 with their next contest set for Dec. 23 at St. Thomas Moore. The game schedule is as follows: freshman squad at 5 p.m.; junior varsity squad at 6 p.m.; and the varsity squad at 7 p.m.
