Dogs, Ladies drop close contests

The Jennings Bulldogs faced Opelousas Catholic on Saturday in the third place game of the Teurlings Catholic Tournament, and fell to the Vikings 58-43. The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Draylan Perkins with 23 points, while Dwayne Levi Jr. chipped in with 13 points. The record for the Bulldogs stands at 4-3 on the year with the next game at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, as Jennings is set to take on Sam Houston in the Sam Houston Bronco Tournament.

Meanwhile, the Jennings Lady Bulldogs hosted Academy of Sacred Heart-G.C. on Monday. The Lady Saints’ sharp shooting pushed them past the Lady Bulldogs, 62-52. With the loss, the Lady Bulldogs fell to 4-7 on the year. The next game for the Lady Bulldogs is next Monday, Dec. 16 at Lacassine.
