JPD launching safety program for elderly

The Jennings Police Department (JPD) is launching a new program geared to ensuring the safety of senior citizens.

JPD Continuing Assistance and Reassurance to the Elderly’s Safety (CARES) is a free program that will use daily phone calls  between officers and seniors to check on participants and give them a better sense of security.
