Suspect arrested for robbing business owner

A Jennings man who was arrested for robbing a family at gunpoint two years ago after the city’s Christmas parade found himself behind bars yet again this holiday season. This time, the suspect, identified as 40-year-old Bernard Johnson, allegedly robbed a business owner who was emptying his coin machine at a local car wash.

According to Jennings Police Department (JPD) Deputy Chief Danny Semmes, police were notified of the robbery on Thursday and found the suspect several blocks away just a short time after the crime occurred.
