Three arrested on possession charges

LACASSINE – Jeff Davis Sheriff’s deputies were looking to arrest a man here on an outstanding warrant Wednesday but instead, arrested him, as well as two friends, on various possession charges.

According to Criminal Investigations Division Commander Chris Ivey, when deputies went to arrest David Cormier, 43, of Bourque Road in Lacassine, he ended up admitting that he had cooked methamphetamine at the residence the day before. Two other individuals, Randall Todd Pousson, 41, of U.S. 165 in Iowa, and Shannon Michelle Martinez, 31, of Central Drive in Lake Charles, were also present at the residence.
