Funeral services for Mr. Herbert Clarke Buch, Sr., 94 will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at Jennings United Methodist Church with Rev. Walter Parker officiating.
Burial with full military honors will be held in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.
Mr. Buch died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at 12:33 p.m. in Jennings American Legion Hospital.
Funeral home visitation will be held today, Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, from 3:30-9 p.m. with a Masonic Service being held at 6 p.m.
Visitation on Wednesday will be at Jennings United Methodist Church from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
Mr. Buch was a native and lifelong resident of Jennings. He was an Army veteran, having served our country from 1942 to 1946. He was a member of Jennings United Methodist Church, the men’s upper room Bible class and choir, Jennings Masonic Lodge 249 and Jennings American Legion Post 19. Mr. Buch was the proprietor of Buch Printing for 77 years. He enjoyed playing dominoes.
He is survived by three sons, Clarke Buch of Jennings, Graylon (Patricia) Buch of Jennings and Tommy Buch of Jennings; and a sister, Lula Reed of Jennings; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Frederick and Lulu Mae Quigley Buch; his wife, Charlotte Maurine Gray Buch; a brother, Howard Buch; and four sisters, Ellen Byrum, Beatrice Pollett, Gladys Cannon and Ruby Peerson.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to James Wilson for being such a faithful friend, the entire staff of Jennings American Legion Hospital and the Rehabilitation Hospital of Jennings.
