Wayne Allen Clark
GUEYDAN – Funeral services for Wayne Allen Clark, 70, of Morse, were held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Gueydan today, Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at 9 a.m. with Father Corey Campeaux officiating.
Visitation was held at the funeral home beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, from 4:30-9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m., and resumed today, Thursday, at 7:30 a.m. until the time of his services. Wayne was laid to rest in Gueydan Cemetery.
Wayne Allen was born on Jan. 24, 1943, in Gueydan to the late Emery Clark and the late Olympe Monceaux Clark and was called to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at Crowley American Legion Hospital. Wayne was best known for his many years of extensive involvement with the Morse Little League. He was a very avid sports fan. Wayne loved his LSU, Midland Rebels, Yankees and Boston Celtics.
Wayne is survived by one son, Tony (Vikki) Clark of Crowley; one daughter, Lisa (Willie) Miniex of Houston, Texas; one brother, Alday Clark of Kaplan; eight beautiful grandchildren, Tyler, Broc, Taylor, Tony, Grant, Whitney, Mary and Gabriel; and six precious great-grandchildren.
Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved family: his parents, Emery and Olympe Clark; five brothers; and one sister.
Carrying Wayne to his eternal resting place will be Tyler Clark, Broc Clark, Taylor Clark, Tony Clark, Grant Clark and Gabriel Miniex.
