Debra Sue Demarest
Debra Sue Demarest, 58, a native and resident of Welsh, was entrusted to God’s loving care on Feb. 24, 2014, at her home.
Visitation will commence today, Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh from 4-9 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday at 8 a.m. until Christian service time at 10 in the Hixson Chapel. Rev. Walter Parker Jr. is officiating.
Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Welsh.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Eugene Demarest of Welsh; two sons, Cody Eugene Demarest and Michael Demarest, both of Welsh; one daughter, Nicole Demarest (Joe) Roy of Welsh; one grandson; Jackson Everette Roy of Welsh; her mother-in-law, Hazel Demarest of Welsh; five brothers, Don (Vicky) Troutman of Deridder, Leonard (Martha) Troutman of Roanoke, Harold Troutman of Lumberton, Texas, David (Annette) Troutman of Welsh, and Carl Troutman of Roanoke; and two sisters, Frances (Edward) McCarty of Houma, and Mary Kay (James) Epperly of LaPlace.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances Troutman and Irma McMillin Troutman; two brothers, Roy and Kenneth Troutman; and her father-in-Law, George Demarest. Debra is also survived a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
