Taylor Dane Morvant
It is with great sadness that the family of Taylor Dane “T-Dane” Morvant announces his passing from this life on Feb. 19, 2014, at the age of 19.
Funeral services to honor Taylor “T-Dane’s” life will be held at Bethel Baptist Church in Jennings on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at 2 p.m. with Brother Gary Dar Dar and Brother Garland Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Miller-French Cemetery.
The Morvant family requests that visitation be held at Miller-French Baptist Church today, Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, from 4-10 p.m. and will resume on Monday, Feb. 24, from 8-11 a.m. Taylor will then be moved to Bethel Baptist Church, where visitation will continue from 12 p.m. until the time of his services at 2 p.m.
He was born in Crowley to Dane and Angela Fontenot Morvant on Oct. 9, 1994. He was a member of the Miller-French Baptist Church and River of Life Fellowship. Taylor was a graduate of Iota High School Class of 2013 and was known by his family and friends as “T-Dane”. Taylor “T-Dane” worked as an oilfield hand for Damian Oil Company of Evangeline. He liked to hunt and fish, but he loved working on his truck and playing in the mud. Taylor “T-Dane” especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He had numerous friends that he held dear to his heart. Taylor “T-Dane” was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
Taylor “T-Dane” leaves behind to cherish his memories: his parents, Dane and Angela “Angie” Morvant of Gotte’s Cove; his sister, Ashton Morvant of Gotte’s Cove and her fiance’, Adam Mallett, of Iota; his paternal grandmother, Lucille Morvant and his maternal grandfather, Russel Fontenot, both of Gotte’s Cove; one uncle, Allen Fontenot (Regina Miller) of Eunice; his two aunts, Kaye (Russell) Richard and Hope Morvant, both of Gotte’s Cove; numerous first cousins, Keegan LeJeune, Triston Fontenot, Miya Fontenot, Cory Richard and Lauren Perkins. Taylor also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Taylor “T-Dane” now rests in Heaven with his beloved paternal grandfather, Robert Morvant; and his maternal grandmother, Elaine Fontenot.
Carrying Taylor “T-Dane” to his eternal resting place will be his cousins and friends: Keegan LeJeune, Triston Fontenot, Brandon Fantroy, Logan Fontenot, Michael Simar, David Simar, Taylor Duhon, Kyle Hebert and Tanner Hebert.
Serving as Honorary pallbearer will be his cousin, Cory Richard.
