GUEYDAN – The family and friends of Anna Belle Hebert Bourque are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life on March 1, 2014, at the age of 86.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Gueydan on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at 2 p.m. with Father Celcius Offor officiating. Burial will follow in Gueydan Cemetery under the direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Gueydan on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, from 3:30-9 p.m. with a Rosary led by Father Corey Campeaux at 7:30 p.m. The family requests that visitation resume on Thursday at 9 a.m. until the time of her funeral Mass.

Anna Belle was born in Gueydan to the late Eraste Hebert and the late Dulcina Hebert on Sept. 4, 1927. She was a Member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and the VFW Auxiliary. Anna Belle loved to pray and was very dedicated to the Rosary. She was a homemaker and loved to cook and crochet. She adored everyone that touched her life and her last wishes for everyone to remember that Jesus said “Love one another as I have Love you”. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Anna Belle is survived by her niece and godchild, Mona (Mike) Broussard of Scott; and her sons Kyle, Kory and Dru Broussard; one goddaughter, Annette Vincent; her brother, Joseph Robert “Bobby” Hebert of Kaplan; a niece Naidine (Chris) Richard; and a nephew, Randal (Shannon) Hebert; and three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Bourque, Ita Bourque and Geraldine Hebert Boudreaux. She also leaves behind to cherish her memories, numerous nieces and nephews;

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eraste and Dulcina Hebert; her beloved husband, E.P. “Dovic” Bourque; her son, Darell Charles Bourque; and her sister, Geraldine “Gerry” Kilchrist.

Carrying Anna Belle to her final resting place will be Mike Broussard, Kyle Broussard, Kory Broussard, Dru Broussard, Randal Hebert and Chris Richard.

Honorary pallbearer will be Bobby Hebert.
