Lady Cards earn shot at title

LAKE CHARLES – The Lacassine Lady Cardinals overcame a sluggish game to take a 54-44 win over the Stanley Lady Panthers in the Class B Semifinals at the Burton Coliseum in Lake Charles Tuesday. The win advances the Lacassine Lady Cardinals to the Class B State Championship game on Friday night, when they will face the top seeded defending state champion Fairview Lady Panthers at 6 p.m. This will be the third straight year that the Lacassine Lady Cardinals and Fairview Lady Panthers have played for the Class B State Championship, with the Panthers sweeping the series.
