The Cajun Way

The eighth grade Louisiana History students at Lake Arthur High are being exposed to traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. They are also learning about the importance of preserving the unique culture of southwest Louisiana by designing their own wire screen Mardi Gras masks.  Jeff Davis Arts Council provided the funding for the supplies through its Art-In-Education Zigler Mini-Grant Program.
