Diamond Dogs push past Iota

The Jennings Diamond Dogs trailed 2-3 after four innings, but tallied up six runs in the fifth and sixth innings to push past Iota, 8-6, Tuesday night. With the win, the Diamond Dogs’ record improved to 11-12 on the season and 3-2 in district play. The next district contest for the Diamond Dogs is at home Thursday against Iowa with junior varsity set to take the field at 4 p.m., followed by varsity at 6 p.m. The contest will also be celebrated as Senior Night for the JHS seniors on both the baseball and softball teams.
