Officers with the Jennings Police Department traveled to Lafayette Monday to pick up Christopher Trent, 31, of King Street following his arrest by Lafayette City Marshals. Trent was wanted by authorities following a true bill obtained by the Jeff Davis Parish District Attorney’s office on March 13. Trent was booked into the Jeff Davis Parish jail, where he was reprocessed on the charge due to the indictment. After processing, the suspect was then released because he had already posted bond on the initial charge, explained Jennings Police Department Deputy Chief Danny Semmes.
