A Mass of Christian burial for Mr. Harry Langley, 87, was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Very Reverend Anthony Fontenot officiating.
Burial with military honors was in Calvary Cemetery, under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.
Funeral home visitation was held from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, and continued from 8 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.
He was a lifelong resident of Jennings and was retired military. He was a member of the VFW.
Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Ann Langley of Jennings; two sons, Harry Lee “Buddy” (Angie) Langley of Jennings and James Edward Langley of Jennings; two sisters, Cora Abadie of Prairieville and Agnes Richard of Bayou Vista; one brother, Wilfred Langley of Shreveport; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Matt Gibbens, Joe Reynolds, James Langley Jr., John Miller Jr., Gerald Hobson and Harry “Buddy” Langley Jr.
Honorary pallbearers were Darrell Thibodeaux, Adam Esposito, Robert Esposito, Taylor Bumgarden and Trenton Guidry.
