Alexander’s art reflects La. roots

At 11 years old, a country girl played in the dirt using her imagination to create her own masterpieces out of her large collection of rocks. Candice Alexander spent time in her nearby woods building teepees, playing out her own special artistry. Now, at age 35, she has come full circle, utilizing the resourcefulness that began in the natural surroundings of her native Hathaway over 20 years ago.
