Edward John Broussard
LAKE ARTHUR – Funeral services for Mr. Edward John Broussard, 84, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2014, in Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating.
Entombment will be in St. Anthony Mausoleum.
Funeral home visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, and from 8 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel.
Mr. Broussard died at 8:02 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at his daughter’s residence in Lake Arthur.
Mr. Broussard was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur and was a retired rice farmer. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Cursillo and the Lake Arthur Hunting Club.
Survivors include one daughter, Sonia (Wade) Williams of Lake Arthur; two sons, Raymond Troy (Tammy) Broussard of Carlyss and John E. (Margaret) Broussard of Lafayette; one sister, Ethel Seagraves of Lake Arthur; one brother, Wilbert Broussard of Lake Arthur; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Broussard was preceded in death by his parents, Lucius and Estella Bourne Broussard; his wife, Rose Broussard; and three brothers, Daniel, Edsel and Ellsworth.
