Kenny Paul Bellon
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota for Kenny Paul Bellon, 84, who died on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at 9:45 p.m. at Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jennings.
Fr. Jude Thierry, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will officiate for the services.
The family requests visiting hours begin today, Tuesday, July 1, 2014, from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and will resume on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Mr. Bellon was a native of Basile and lifelong resident of Iota. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Bellon is survived by four sons, Wendel Bellon of Lafayette, Shelby (Vickie) Bellon of Iota, James Bellon of Iota and Shane Bellon of Iota; one daughter-in-law, Annette L. Bellon of Iota; four grandchildren, Brett (Kortnie) Bellon, Megan Bellon and fiance’, Tony Menard, Kyler Bellon and Brianne Bellon; and one great-grandson, Grant Bellon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Mae LeJeune Bellon; a son, Steve Bellon; his parents, Seaviou and Lucille Young Bellon; two sisters, Ella Mae Manuel and Mary Bellon; and two brothers, John Baptist and Anason Bellon.
The family wishes to thank the Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home and staff, Joy LaCombe, Darla Price, CNA-Lora, Pam Cloud, Dr. Amanda Lacomb and Heart of Hospice for their care and support of Mr. Bellon.
