Local dispatchers benefit from communications training

The Jennings Police Department hosted a three-day 9-1-1 telecommunications training class held at the Burton S. Leblanc Training Center for communication officers in the surrounding area. Participants included JPD dispatch officers, as well as dispatchers from Lake Charles, Welsh, Basile, and Church Point. The class specialized in “Managing Crisis Communications” and “Tactical Incident Dispatch” and was led by communications specialist Dave Larton.
