By REBECCA CHAISSON Daily News Editor A convicted sex offender will see 30 years in prison at hard labor, despite his requests for a new trial and acquittal.

Funeral services for Gerald Jerome Davis, 50, will be announced later by Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings. Mr. Davis entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 15, 2014, in his residence.
