Duhon honored with baby shower

A baby shower honoring Amber Duhon, wife of Glenn Duhon of Lake Arthur, was held from 2-4 p.m. April 13, 2013, on Koll Road in Jennings.

Mrs. Duhon is the former Amber Reed of Hathaway.

Shannon honored with bridal shower

Amy Grace Shannon of Lake Charles, bride-elect of Sloane Biessenberger of Jennings, was honored with a bridal shower on Feb. 16, 2013.

The couple plans to wed March 30, 2013.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Bob and Mickey Shannon of Lake Charles.

The prospective groom is the son of Butch Biessenberger and Sheila Biessenberger, both of Jennings.

Friends and family hosted the event. They each gave an individual gift from the bride’s registry.

Beard honored with bridal shower

Emily Beard of Jennings, bride-elect of Chris Lopez of Welsh, was honored with a bridal shower at the Fellowship Center of First Baptist Church in Jennings.

The couple plans to marry Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at First Baptist Church of Jennings.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Renella Williams of Jennings.

The prospective groom is the son of Shirley Moore of Jennings.

Hostesses for the event included Angie Watkins, Jenny Guinn, Shirley Moore, Renella Williamson, Mary Williamson and Nicole Mallet, all of Jennings, Jenee Davis of Gott’s Cove, Kim Guidry of Evangeline and Ashley Lopez, Sherri May and Mia Lopez, all of Lake Arthur.

Couple honored with bridal shower

An engagement party honoring Tiffany Fruge of Hathaway and Kyle Richey of Egan was held Oct. 13, 2012, at the home of the groom’s parents in Egan.

The couple plans to marry June 15, 2013, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Jennings with Father Charles McMillin officiating.

The theme of the party was “Fall.”

The bride-elect is the daughter of Wayne and Danielle Fruge of Hathaway.

The prospective groom is the son of Jimmy and Karen Richey of Egan.

Hosts for the event were the parents of the bride and groom.

Refreshments included jambalaya and various finger foods while entertainment was provided by local musician Jaryd Lane, who performed a live acoustic show.

Decorations included hay bales, pumpkins, mums and scarecrows.

Approximately 100 guests attended. Out of town guests included friends and family from New Orleans, Fort Worth, Lake Charles and Houston.

Fontenot feted at bridal shower

Ashley Marie Fontenot of Jennings, bride-elect of Aaron Joseph Granger of Hackberry, was honored with a bridal shower Aug. 4, 2012, at the home of Julie Berry.

The couple plans to marry Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Dr. Nathan and Jean Fontenot of Jennings.

The prospective groom is the son of Mr. Mark and Angie Granger of Hackberry.

Hostesses for the event were Debbie Ardoin, Michelle Oustalet, Leslie Ancelet, Julie Berry, Joni Thibodeaux, Suzanne Doucet, Pauline Borne, Michelle Lyons, Denise Leger and Laurie Guinn. Their gift to the couple was a digital camera.

Benoit Honored With Bridal Shower

Nancy Benoit of Lake Arthur was honored with a bridal shower on May 12, 2012, at the residence of Sharline Benoit Kershaw of Jennings. She plans to wed Floyd Istre of Lake Arthur on June 15 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jennings with a reception to follow at Father John Windt Hall. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Sharline Benoit Kershaw of Jennings and the late Deacon Mark Benoit. The groom-elect is the son of Darla Lacomb of Oberlin and Anthony Istre of Gueydan.
