Dear Editor,

California Senator Diane Feinstein is proposing an AR-style rifle ban to save our children. Yet on this 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, she doesn’t mention the 54 million abortions conducted in this country nor show remorse for this disrespect to human life. Speeches at every Democratic National Convention reference abortion or a pro-choice platform to huge cheers from the rabid convention hall audience. Mother Theresa identified the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion because it is a war against children, a direct killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself. If a mother can kill her own child and then tell young people not to kill one another, it is the ultimate hypocrisy in the eyes of the young.

Feinstein and her cohorts are using the Sandy Hook tragedy as a first step to trash our Second Amendment right for law-abiding citizens to own and bear arms as a defense against tyranny. Abolishing our Second Amendment is necessary for President Obama as described in his July 2, 2008 speech given in Boulder, Colorado, where he promised the creation and establishment of a “Civilian National Security Force that should be just as powerful, just as strong and just as well funded as the U.S. Military.”

The national security objectives described by Obama define brutal totalitarian government modeled after the Soviet Union under Joseph Stalin. Achieving his objectives is currently being initiated using the 2013 National Defense Authorization Act that he signed into law on Jan. 2 that allows the arrest and indefinite military detention of U.S. citizens. In addition, Obama can secretly target U.S. citizens for execution without even charging them with a crime as admitted by Attorney General Eric Holder.

Dear Editor,

I quote the Jennings Daily News of Feb. 15, 2013 Headline: “State asked to assist with Jail Funding”

Maybe a better idea would be to contact the U. S State Department for assistance.

According to a recent news article, “U. S. plans to build two prisons in Haiti”, the U. S. Embassy there announced that the U. S. government is planning to build two prisons in Haiti’s countryside that will cost up to $10,000,000

These two jails are to be built in a country where many people are still living in tents and cardboard shelters with little or no sanitary facilities. Wouldn’t you think that building decent housing would come before new jails?

Is the American government mixed up on its priorities or what?

It would be nice to have just a part of that money to help build a new jail in Jeff Davis Parish, Louisiana.

Dear Editor,

The information below was sent to all three people who represent us in Washington asking for their support in passing new tax reforms and to give special consideration to bills already before the senate and the house on “The Fair Tax”. I would ask local readers to also look into the fair tax, and if you agree that it may be the best tax system for the future, contact your representation in Washington and ask for their support. That’s the way things get done.

The Revenue Act of 1862 was passed as an emergency income tax measure to pay expenses of the Civil War. It also started the office of commissioner of internal revenue. In 1872, law makers allowed that temporary law to expire. Income taxes did evolve, but in 1894 the Supreme Court declared the income tax bill of 1894 to be unconstitutional. Government always needs to grow and even proper growth needs income. By 1913, under President Wilson, and under very suspicious circumstances during the Christmas Holidays, we were made the recipients of “ The Federal Reserve”, and in February of 1913 with the 16th Amendment to the constitution, which made permanent the IRS, and the infinite power given them over we defenseless taxpayers to collect our taxes, and unfortunately to wield their authority over all at their discretion.

No one can disagree that our income tax system has become totally unmanageable, and only benefits some politicians, all lobbyists, CPAs, tax lawyers, and their corporate clients. The everyday working American citizen has long ago been left out of consideration. We the people had already decided that changing our tax code was mandatory, and that was before our friendly people at IRS decided to flex their muscle to help decide elections by strong arm tactics against any they considered to be “the enemy”. Now we must consider doing both, revamping the tax laws and the IRS. The only solution to both is already presented before congress and the senate “The Fair Tax”. It has been thoroughly reviewed and endorsed by 80 well known economists from prestigious Universities across the United States. This system is revenue neutral, is a consumption tax (a tax on spending, not on income), gives a monthly rebate to those in poverty level for money spent on life necessities, and gets rid of income taxes, and other Federal taxes, and gets rid of the IRS completely. (The economists gave frank opinions, not the bias of politicians and other groups who will loudly oppose the proposal).

With the above information in mind, I strongly urge you to really look into the fair tax with an open mind, and no political agenda, and consider throwing your support to the bills already submitted to the House and Senate. This is the type of leadership towards reform that we expect from those we send to represent us in Washington.

Dear Editor,

John Kerry speaks out about the Benghazi affair saying it’s exaggerism and people need to calm down and get the facts correct.

This same person was known as a turncoat in the Vietnam War and has the ability to turn about three hundred and sixty degrees at any time.

To call out people that suffered this experience overseas and that saw their companions die is not a time or place to exaggerate the facts in order to justify their lack of support or lack of doing correct things to prevent the slaughter there.

Hiding behind others is not a President’s right in order to cover up lies and distorted view of the facts.

American voters need the truth and the whole truth and not a run around view of misrepresentation in the destruction of life and embassies, which cost the taxpayers millions.

I admire these senators that are risking their jobs in order to have the truth appear on our TV screens in order for us, the voters, to finally understand what really did take place.

For a diplomat to be killed along with some of his staff is no laughing matter and to try to cover this up is of low esteem.

This is how lies get started.

Dear Editor,

Muslim women are not as smart as men and are servants to men. All rights belong to the man in Muslim law. If you should change religion you are supposed to be stoned to death.

They slowly advance into a country but, they are not interested in assimilation. They will build their own schools to be sure their children do not assimilate into the culture of that country.

Democracy is not acceptable in this setting, but only their strict Shiria ways so they patiently wait to rid the world of democracy.

Church attendance is down and teenagers are not certain what is religion. They see marriage as no longer lasting. It is now flexible and there are many fatherless children growing up.

I think that this radical Muslim religion is a death to others and that it will slowly destroy as it advances.

Under Muslim reign women will lose their hard-won independence as will our citizens lose their hard-won, blood bought freedoms which we take for granted instead of protecting them faithfully. The dress of women will change into one of a shadow, they will lose the freedom to drive, party, or express themselves in clothes of eye catching colors and styles.

They wait with patience while their numbers become greater so that one day they can change a country into what they want.

Wake Up, America! Unconcern and passivity could be a road to destruction of America as we know it.

Dear Editor,

I would like someone to tell me why the mayor of Jennings is trying to do away with some of the traffic lights in town. It doesn’t make any sense to me unless it’s money or a profit to him it seems to me the only thing his is concerned about is himself, not the safety of the public. Its like if the lights weren’t needed, why were they put up anyway? It’s a dumb move and will cause a lot of problems. Not everyone understood the stop signs, but most of us have knowledge of red and green lights. Please voice your opinion about to your city councilman and the newspaper and on May 8 at the council meeting, let them know how you feel now. Thank you.

Dear Editor,

The Muslims of the world have followed, to the letter, the instructions of Al-Sa-Wahari who was Bin Laden’s 2nd in command, now is running the show for Al-Queda. “Use the Westerners’ laws to infiltrate them , take advantage of everything they offer, overpopulate their communities to gain voting majorities in their government, and eventually bankrupt them while they spend 2 Billion dollars to protect future events from our 2 hundred dollar bombs.

Ideology: The assertions, theories, and aims that constitute a political, social, and economic program or society.

Indoctrination: To teach profoundly the beliefs and doctrines of a particular group.

The ideology of Islam is to have the world inhabitants belong to their religion, and be governed by Sharia law. They are a peaceful religion among their own , but to the infidel, or to the non conforming Muslim they are ruthless to the point of annihilation.

Their indoctrination begins with parents who have been brain washed indoctrinated since early childhood with the 5 pillars of their faith and forced in some cases to follow these rules of religion by special police. The first 3 pillars are the ones that guarantee the propagation of the faith. #1 Faith: Allah is supreme in authority and Mohammed is his messenger. This when read by the followers makes the teachings of any and all other religions secondary and incorrect because Mohammed being the last of the supposed prophets has gotten the most recent news, and rules of behavior, from Allah. #2 Prayer : 5 times per day mandatory prayer, and memorization of the Qu’Ran, enforced in many cases by special police. #3 Taxation: income to the religion and its’ spread guaranteed by the labors, [or welfare checks from western nations], of the followers. The final 2 pillars, fasting and annual pilgrimage to Mecca, are of lesser importance as it concerns the extremes of their actions.

Any young mind exposed to forced education and indoctrination by parents, police, Imams, and fellow Muslims, and free schools that offer minimal education outside of religion,[the one and only religion]and its’ importance, has little chance of freedom of choice as an adult trying to participate in a world society that doesn’t hold the same views on his religion.

The Qu’Ran , like the Bible was put together many years after the death of “ the prophets”. Mostly by word of mouth, and various collected written documents. Nothing told to Mohammed by the Angel Gabriel was apparently written down by Mohammed and collected as the word directly from God. A documentary “ Inside the Qu’Ran” done by National Geographic in Aug. 2008 and reported by the Miami Herald asks how can 2 groups of Muslims reading the same passages from the same Qu’Ran come to so many different conclusions? The suicide bombing Shiites, or the pacifist Sufi, who read, and believe, the exact opposite. How can a Woman Muslim be the head of state in a country like Indonesia, the worlds’ largest Muslim nation, and the Muslim woman in Saudi Arabia not being allowed to drive a car? The answer is that the Qu’Ran, like any religious writ, is full of ambiguities, vague metaphors, and even outright contradictions. [Which Bible verse do you prefer? # 1 Leviticus: Adulterers must be put to death” or #2 John: “ If anyone of you is without sin cast the first stone” Westerners can discuss discrepancies in the Bible; to contradict a Muslims’ interpretation of the Qu’Ran could result in death. To have you fully understand the dislike, and hatred for the West by Muslims I would have to go through the history of Muslim society , and books written by Daniel Pipes,” Radical Islam Reaches America”, and “ The Looming Tower” by Lawrence Wright. I’ll leave that research to the interest of the reader.

Since space is always limited let me close with an opinion that will surely cause much disagreement among a “politically correct” society. The time has come for profiling Muslims! 95% of all terrorist attacks around the world have been perpetrated by Muslim extremists. Governments prefer to be politically correct and not offend the so called peaceful Muslim community, and the peaceful Muslims have been so indoctrinated, and fearful of the radicals they will never speak out against their brothers who intend to conquer the world no matter how long it takes or the cost involved in human lives.” It is the will of Allah”. The radicals believe that anything that has not gone along with their plans including the Israeli homeland, and the losses suffered by Muslims in their attacks of Israel, is because they have deviated from the violent methods of war and capture of the early Muslims who have tried unsuccessfully so many times to rule the world. If we do not start profiling, and put an end to their ultimate plan, they will succeed in infiltrating, bankrupting, and destroying western civilization by using our laws of freedom. Remember, even the peaceful Muslims do not care for our culture because of their Ideology and indoctrination. Bin Laden and Al-Zawahari have told their followers that their $200.oo bombs would eventually bankrupt western civilization; are you willing to allow them to succeed? Wake up “Politically Correct”, America !

Paranoia set in as I was humiliated by having a small pocket knife upon entering the court house.

I was wondering also whether if you displayed too much cash upon entering taxes would rise out of this mist.

I received a sermon about safety and had to travel a block back to stash my pocket knife in my truck.

I’ve resided in this parish quite a few years and have never in my lifetime seen or read of a killing in this “mansion”.

I really don’t know who is worth this retaliation residing here.

Airlines, buses, taxis, and commercial trucks do not require this embarrassment.

A sheriff’s office is one door away and they are armed and will take a message of good morning and would stop any mad taxpayer with weapons of mass destruction.

Dear Editor,

Voter turnout is not always the fault of the voter. When I went to renew my driver’s license I passed the test. I even had eye surgery to be sure that I could pass. I had my money out to pay and was told no. My name did not match with social security.

I went to the social security office and showed them all my identification. They gave me a paper to give to the driver’s license bureau. They would not accept this and went by my birth record, which is not correct. Every name is misspelled. My name is Dora. They have Dona.

I sent for a birth certificate and this came back incorrect. They have my middle name wrong. They have Jane. My name is Jean.

I have been trying to correct this for seven months. I have so much identification: my marriage certificate, conformation certificate, school records and even my first social security card. These are all correct. Every time I get a birth certificate they either have the first or second name wrong.

I lost all my rights in September. With no valid license, I can’t vote. I can’t drive. I can’t write checks.

I cried because I couldn’t vote. I promised my dad I would always vote and I had to break my promise.

When we read of the Egyptian Pharos, and the multitude of slaves working all of their lives to build a pyramid for the Pharos’ burial, we do not stop to think that this slave’s entire live was spent working for the pleasure of the Master, and that even his children were bred to be slaves and good workers for all of their lives also. This same scenario is repeated with the Chinese Dynasties, with the wars which lead to pillaging and other slavery around the world, the Mongol hordes which swept across Europe and the Middle East, the spread of Islam, and the Ottoman Turkish Empire, and yes even the slavery which existed within the country of freedom, the United States of America, where African tribes captured, and sold, their own people into slavery.

It has been proven philosophically that the human mind leans more easily towards “injustice” than it does to “justice” since the innate striving of each individual is to achieve more than the next individual who would be considered the rival. This seems to occur at all levels whether in sports, finances, prestige within community or politics.

To combat this human tendency laws are formulated which are intended to influence and correct this fault in human behavior and was expertly conceived in the U. S. Constitution which lead this country to be the leader and envy of all other countries for so many years.

Only rarely in ancient times were there mentioned rules of fairness or equal justice. One of these I had the pleasure of seeing first hand. “The Code of Hammurabi”; Hammurabi was the sixth Babylonian king who wrote the code of fairness to be followed by his rule and to affect his subjects. This was written in 1772 B.C. (before Moses), is still referred to in Law School teachings today, and the original is nearly 300 laws and rules inscribed on a seven foot tall stone pillar, in the Louvre Museum in Paris.

Roman Emperor Constantine accepting Christianity was perhaps the greatest of all reasons we have seen for a gradual path toward freedom in the world, but it has not been without much resistance. Christianity as taught by Jesus is a peaceful religion; Christianity run by the Catholic Church took many dangerous detours. Europe went through the “dark ages”, the plague, nations fighting nations, and religions fighting religions. Corruption in the church was rampant through the reign of at least 6 or more popes. The Crusades and Spanish Inquisition produced cruelty unexpected anywhere much less starting from within the Christian Church. All of this evil eventually facilitated the Catholic Church at one time to become the largest landowner in Europe, and eventually led to the protestant reformation. Middle Ages Europe [476-1500] ended in near total collapse just prior to the discovery of the Americas, which again put the world on a path toward freedom. The “Church of Christianity” created many problems, the “faith of Christianity” kept freedom alive. The new country and its’ riches became the envy of all other nations and rekindled a new spirit of survival and enthusiasm across Europe. Freedom was again alive and well and on the move! You know most of the history from then till now, but what could take away our freedom or destroy our Nation?

How would an enemy Nation set about destroying another nation?

Creating disunity between religious or ethnic groups, disunity or jealously between financial un- equals, political parties which strive for power for the parties with disregard for the people they represent, allow education to loose importance, decrease military might ,create a state of dependency by the citizens to the state so that the state is perceived as the ruler rather than the servant, bankrupt the nation with excessive demands and entitlements to the citizen to insure their votes at election time, and finally develop a national sense that belonging to a World Community is the path to follow rather than the individual pride of our country as we have created it, and have loved it in past years. Are you beginning to think as I am about where we are heading as a nation? We are there!

There are only two choices presently being considered. We must choose one!

#1 – A New World Order, Re-distribution of wealth, the U.S. being only a state in a world government, and under the supervision of world courts, world governments, and world financial control, with government, not people being the final authority. A system of Government furnishing the people with everything they think they need, or want, in exchange for their political allegiance and domination by their government.

-OR-

#2 – We must re-establish America as the “dream country”. Balanced budgets, out of debt, strong financially, and militarily, and willing to aid any other country who wants freedom and our assistance because we are again strong enough to be able to offer that type of help.

We can revert back to the slavery of the Pharos or the Dynasties and be the slaves of big business, big government, and the financial elite, or we can continue along the hard fought path of freedom by insisting on individual justice, and demand that the people will be in control of government as our fore fathers suggested, not the government be in complete control of all its people.
