WWII vet honored by Belgium royal

Laurence Boudreaux served his country in World War II. Sixty-nine years after his return to Jeff Davis Parish, he has been recognized for his wartime efforts by the Kingdom of Belgium.

By AUBREY BROUSSARD Daily News Staff Writer WELSH – Laurence Boudreaux, a World War II veteran, recently received two  special awards from the Kingdom of Belgium – the Croix de Guerre 1940 avec palme (Cross of War with palm) and the Fourragere 1940 for his service in Belgium.
