COA, sheriff host annual fall gumbo

Senior citizens from all over Jeff Davis Parish enjoyed a chicken and sausage gumbo luncheon hosted by the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Department. Lunch was preceded by a game of bingo and door prizes were given out through out the morning.

Women sought in credit card theft

On September 12, two black females used a stolen credit card to make $1,200 in unauthorized purchases from the Wal-mart store in Jennings. The credit card was stolen from a victim residing in Crowley.
