By AUBREY BROUSSARD Daily News Staff Writer Three Jennings teachers were recently honored by being awarded the Jeff Davis Parish School Board Teacher of the Year award for the 2015-2016 school year. Jennings High School (JHS) algebra II teacher Tyana Lavergne was the recipient for the award at the high school level.

Three-Car Crash Reported


A three-car crash occurred Tuesday afternoon at approximately 3 p.m. on the corner of North Cutting and Zigler Memorial Drive. HHS students worked hand-in-hand with local branches of law enforcement on Tuesday to re-create a mock accident showcasing the dangers of drinking and driving and the negative effects that go along with it.
