Fall florals

As part of the R&R Class scheduled line-up, Jeff Davis Parish Library hosted a floral arts class. The class for the scrappy ribbon and mesh swag tutorial was led by Instructor Donna Parsley, who showed attendees how to make a colorful fall swag out of leftover florals, scrap and mesh.

Bulldog palooza: Tupper Museum displays JHS memorabilia

Lemonade for officers

A group of dedicated youth held a lemonade stand this past week to raise money for the fallen officers in the recent Baton Rouge shootings.
Six children, ranging in age from four to 11, spent Monday on Lake Arthur Avenue, selling fresh-squeezed lemonade. The proceeds were then delivered to the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office (JDSO) where the children requested Sheriff Ivy Woods dedicate the money to the officers in whatever capacity it would benefit them the most.

LA to enforce restriction ordinances
