JENNINGS — Celebration of Life Services honoring Eric Louis Simeon, 64, will be held at 3 p.m. in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary in Jennings. Visiting with family and friends will be from 1 p.m. until the time of celebration services. Burial will follow in Peterson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.

Eric Louis Simeon was a resident of Lafayette and entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at his residence with his loving wife and family by his side. Eric was born in Lafayette on Feb. 29, 1960 to Eula Mae Lee Simeon and Willie Simeon. After completing his high school education, Eric worked as a security officer in many different states and later moved to Lafayette. He was married to Jackie Lynn Simeon for the past 10 years. Eric loved his family dearly and was a father figure to many of his nieces and nephews and was a brother to so many people. He enjoyed cheering on his beloved New Orleans Saints football team.

Eric was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Eula Mae Simeon; two special nephews, Nicholas Simeon Jr. and Damien Williams; his father-in-law, Michael Gary.

Eric leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife, Jackie Lynn Simeon; his godchildren, Cortland Lee of Jennings, Joshua Blanchard of Baytown, Texas, Micah Blanchard of Houston, Texas, Cedric Anderson Jr. of Jennings, Erica Clay of Jennings and Zayia Simeon of Jennings; his siblings, Willie R. Simeon (Marylyn) of Copperas Cove, Texas, Linda Travis of Lake Charles, Connie Simeon of Jennings, Anthony Simeon (Anita) of Lake Charles, Nicholas Simeon (Gretchen) of Austin, Texas and Lori Simeon of Jennings; his in-laws, Carol and Timmy Darbonne, Ronnie Landry, Danielle Andrus (Phillip), August Darbonne (Chris), Justin Darbonne (Danielle) and Skylar Gary (Lacie); a host of very special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
