Traffic stop yields drugs, cash, repeat offender

A suspected drug dealer and approximately $1,000 worth of crack cocaine, $400 worth of Promethazine cough syrup and $5,708 in alleged drug currency were all removed from the streets of Jennings on Saturday as a result of one simple traffic stop.
Jennings Police Department (JPD) Det. Danny Semmes reported that Tyron Withers, a regular at the city jail, was returned to his home-away-from-home in handcuffs on possession of cocaine and Schedule III narcotic charges.
