Despite Saturday’s cool weather, the second annual Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home pond provided some “big catches” for participants of the home’s second annual Fishing Tournament.
James Pecson (left) was named King Fisherman this year with the most fish reeled in – nine catches.
First, second and third place winners were also named based on the biggest catches: Joseph Duhon took first with his 4 lb., 8 oz. fish; Alfred Goebel was awarded second with his 3 lb., 11 oz. fish; and Ralyn Fall’s 3 lb., 2 oz. fish placed third.
