Jury to apply for state road grant

The Jeff Davis Parish Police Jury is hoping to make money by agreeing to spend money.
The jury is preparing its application for the next rounds of Louisiana Community Development Block Grants (LCDBG), and Parish Engineer Steve Tate explained to jurors on Wednesday that their chances of winning grant money may be increased if they agree to pay some portions of a proposed road project.
