CHIPS to take stage Saturday

The Jeff Davis Arts Council’s (JDAC) “Chip Off the Old Block Theatre” (CHIPS) will be presenting their next production this weekend at the Strand Theatre in Jennings.
The youth theatre, which features cast members ages 13-18 from around the parish, will be performing Tim Kelly’s “Happily N’Ever After” on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Admission is free to both events. The show is best known as a 2006 animated movie of the same name featuring Sigourney Weaver, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze, Jr. The play is a twist on the popular Cinderella story.
