Guns not a match in last week’s shootings

Preliminary lab results show that the victims of two shootings last Thursday – one of whom was found dead – were not shot with the same gun, according to Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff Ricky Edwards.
Kenneth Wayne Harmon Jr., of Welsh, was found dead beneath a truck in a ditch south of Roanoke near the intersection of La. 1126 and South Main Road on Thursday. Though the truck was still running, investigators also found a bullet hole in Harmon’s chest. Just an hour before his body was discovered, Deandre Soularie of Jennings was admitted to Jennings American Legion Hospital after being shot in the buttocks by an unknown assailant.
