Kristal Precht of Jennings was only 33 years old when she was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer – incurable but treatable. She regrets not demanding a mammogram or ultrasound when she first noticed the lump – which was misdiagnosed for two years as a clogged milk duct. Maybe she could have caught the disease early, before it had time to spread to her organs and her bones.
Precht recently underwent a double mastectomy and has completed over 60 rounds of chemotherapy. She will undergo chemo for the rest of her life.
