Elton rethinks Mardi Gras

ELTON – Officials here are hard at work planning their Fat Tuesday festival, scheduled the weekend before Mardi Gras. On Feb. 13, adults will be able to participate in all the traditional Mardi Gras runs and festivities they love. However, Elton is also planning to become host to a newly expanded event catered to children. While the town has offered a children’s event for the past seven years, officials here have decided to give kids their own Mardi Gras day – an entire day.
