BBBS volunteers: Being a ‘Big’ is a life-changing experience

Allie Melanson and Ashlyn Simien, two extremely outgoing juniors at Lacassine High School, recently decided to share their friendship with someone who tends to be shy at times.
The two figured they could give the young girl, 10-year-old Lainey, a little more confidence. The relationship ended up being a win-win for all three girls thanks to the local Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) organization.
